For all barefoot runners out on the sidewalk, they are cut - and abrasion-resistant - and look like bales of adhesive if you accidentally step on the insole. Developed in Italy by a team at the University of California, San Diego School of Public Health (UCSD), these fine shoes are designed for barefoot runners who stick to their feet and sit firmly instead of peeling and peeling them off.

The soles are waterproof and also protect the shoe from warts and verrucas, and the padding protects the floor from burns when worn in hot sand. Stick shoes are non-slip and offer sufficient protection against hard surfaces up into the mountains. They do not require flip-flops to slide on wet tiles and freeze feet on a hot day in the desert or in a cold, wet room.

Barefoot cane soles are available in a variety of colors and sizes, including black, white, red, blue, orange, yellow, green and blue.
